We are looking for an intermediate solicitor to join our expert Insurance, Commercial Litigation and Employment team at our Auckland Office.

This role reports predominantly to two supervising partners in the team and you will have a mix of employment work.  Team members enjoy the benefits of working in small proactive teams, sharing a wide range of quality assignments and the opportunity to work on files and directly with clients.  The team is well organised, approachable and easy to work with.  In addition our team is highly experienced and collegial, and will support and mentor you as you develop in this role.

Our successful candidate will ideally have:

  • around 3-6 years post admission experience in a law firm environment, ideally in the area of Employment Law
  • excellent academic qualifications and technical skills
  • appearances in Court and mediations
  • experience working directly with clients
  • the ability to network
  • the ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships

Junior Property Legal Secretary

Business Property Finance Team

We are looking for a junior property legal secretary to join our Business Property Finance team at our Auckland Office.

This role reports to a supervising partner, solicitor, legal executive and a consultant.  The team is busy, approachable and easy to work with.

In this role you will provide secretarial and administrative support to the team, and your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • diary management
  • coordination of and preparation for meetings
  • preparing and filing documentation
  • end of month billing
  • maintaining client files
  • opening and archiving files
  • photocopying

Our successful candidate is required to have:

  • a minimum of 3 years previous experience in commercial property/conveyancing secretarial roles is essential.  These duties would include:
  •  Preparing settlement statements and trust account statements
  •  Notices of Sale
  •  eDealing documentation
  • a qualification in the legal secretarial field is desirable
  • competency in operating office equipment (photocopier)
  • strong computer and word processing skills, good spelling, grammar and attention to detail. 
  • the ability to demonstrate initiative
  • excellent organisational skills and operate effectively without supervision to meet deadlines.
